In my last edition of “My Story” I shared with you how I came to offering so many trainings in different formats to meet everyones needs. Through the process I came to learn that many of my followers have different diverse learning styles and needs. Many parents just could not commit to a set time to be part of a training, many teachers needed more hours than the 2 hour trainings I was offering.
This is when I began working on my products. I am creating manual packages for each of my workshop trainings. I have my trainings transcribed, and I then break the information into modules while adding in more examples and case studies etc. I am pairing these manuals up with the downloadable audios and workbooks. This distant learning program will not only allow people to get a more in depth training on their own time line but it will fulfill more training hours that the educators need for licensing.
I also went through the process of getting approved to not only be able to offer standard training hours to teachers, but also to offer Certified Continuing Education Units (CEU’s). Educators need both. In order for my trainings to count towards CEU’s they need to be a minimum of 5 hours. So I have created deeper learning opportunities for educators with full day trainings, as well as offering sessions.
I always grow my business by listening to the needs of my followers, and I they always felt like after my training they wanted a bit more information to help them carry over the skills. This is why I created my Erichment Handbooks. Workshop participants are able to purchase these handbooks after the workshops.
I plan to package, and market these products and programs, and in order to do this I need some support staff to help with the follow through. I currently have an office manager who works 40 hours a week for me. I have also used freelancers over the years to do tasks such as transcribing, graphic design, research, editing, etc. I need to hire another staff member to assist me in all of these tasks again. I have a wonderful candidate in mind who I have worked with in the past and who is interested.
I also use many application systems to run all the moving parts of the business. For example I use Eventbrite to sell my tickets, Constant Contacts for email marketing, Formstacks for sign up and contact pages etc. In total I have been using 18 different systems. I have found a highly acclaimed program that will allow me to downsize my systems to only 7 systems. This program is called Infusion Soft. It is top of the line in its industry and it does the job of 11 of my systems and does it automatically. Which means my office manager will cut her tasks in half, allowing her to focus more on the big projects with me. As you can imagine this program is quite expensive to get started with, but it will absolutely save me in the end!
I have done my research and I know what my followers need, I know the best ways and systems to achieve it all. I now need resources to implement it the upfront costs.
