As you can imagine, rent can be expensive so I got thrifty with how I get venue space. I began a program called “hosting” and in this program I offer a free trainings to a school if they allow me to sell tickets to the public and use their large space. It was a win-win for all. The school loved it as they got free admission, and the community was grateful to have a training close by.
Share and Support is another program I created to get affordable venue space. It is joint venturing with indoor play spaces and child enrichment programs. We both promote the workshop to our own followings, I take care of registration, and they receive a percentage for each ticket sold.
My local trainings in MA were a huge hit, however, there became a clear interest in other states, and even other countries. Social media and my blog got many non-MA residents interested. To accommodate that demand I began doing teleseminars. These are great because people can listen to the trainings from a phone, or computer in any setting they want. They are a huge hit!
In my last edition of “My Story” I explained how I got started with Nurturing Parents and Teachers. I was doing a handful of trainings for organizations, schools, parents etc. I’ve continued my story below.
Very quickly the demand for my trainings and workshops became so big that I was booking trainings months out in advance. This was frustrating to some schools and parents because if they had a child with an issue they did not want to wait for the information. They needed help when the problem with the child began. In order to accommodate their needs I began to rent spaces and sell tickets so I can reach more people struggling with their children at once. This way teachers from different schools could get the information they needed when they needed it. This became very popular! I began selling 50-80 tickets for many of the venues I spoke at. I picked venues all over MA.

These have been ways I have reached people with my trainings. Stay tuned for the third edition of “My Story”.
