Hi everyone,
I’ve been asked before how Nurturing Parents and Teachers began, so I’d love to write and share my story with you.
As you may know I have my own private practice, Nurturing Parents and Teachers. I never set out to be a business woman but this practice organically came together. I have worked as a social worker and an early childhood educator in many different settings over the years. When Daniel and Kayla were born back to back, I chose to stay home with them. During that time I was asked to speak about parenting issues at a local child enrichment center. My life changed drastically after that.
I was asked to come back several times. One of those times, a mother asked if I would come to speak to her Mom’s Club. At that Mom’s Club meeting there was a nanny who was also a teacher and asked if I would come to speak to her school. Before I knew it I was speaking all over the state on issues such as behaviors, postive discipline, developmental issues and more.
I started off only doing it a few times a year. Currently, I speak three evenings a week, throughout the year, all over MA. I also do virtual trainings and have followers from all over the world that attend webinars and teleseminars. I am booked by both parenting organizations and early childhood educators (childcares, preschools, etc.). The need for my services continue to become greater and greater!
