Are Parents & Teachers Looking for a Road Map?

While talking to my friend Connie we disclosed to each other that we both have the same reoccurring themes in our dreams. We are in school and we can’t find our classroom, or we don’t know what our class schedule is. Sometimes we are dreaming that we have never shown up to one of our classes and it is mid-semester.

After I learned we both had similar dreams I asked more of my friends who are parents, and they too have had dreams like this.

It got me wondering:

Do parents always feel like they do not know where to go?

Are we worried about not having the right road map to parenting or teaching?

As parents and teachers we are constantly trying to figure out what paths to take and how to approach things.

Parenting is a train-as-you-go type of job. Once you figure out the way to do it, it changes on you again.

If we are all feeling this way, then why was it such a surprise for my friend Connie and I when we discovered we both dream about this?

Parents and teachers are so worried to admit they do not have all the answers; they are afraid someone may think they are no good at their job.

The truth is we all are learning as we go. The only way to learn something is to try and see if it works. We too learn through cause and effect. We wonder if we do this, what result will we see with our kids?

It is okay to make mistakes as those mistakes teach us how to do it right the next time. Parents and teachers need to come out of their fearful shell and admit that they are not supposed to have all the answers. We need to be okay with that.

Our children are constantly learning and so are we!

If this resonates with you, you will want to join me in my Uncovering the Secrets To the Testing Child Teleseminar.
